Cecil Rhodes
Mr. W. C. "Cecil" Rhodes, 84 of Delhi Rd., died Sat., Jan. 21, 2011 at VA Medical Center, Augusta.
Mr. Rhodes, son of the late John W. and Eula Walker Rhodes, was born in Lincoln County.
He was a 1946 graduate of Tignall High School and served in the US Army 7th Calvary during WWII. Afterwards, he served in the US Army reserves during the Korean Conflict.
He had been a member for over 60 years of both the Carpenters and Joiners Local 283 and the Hiram F&AM Lodge #51 for 60 years. Also, he had been a member of Beulah Baptist Church since 1939. He was preceded in death by siblings, Ellender R. Brown, J.D. Rhodes, Claude E. Rhodes, and Pressley Rhodes .

Brother: Robert L. "Bobby" Rhodes, Augusta

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 24th at 2 p.m. at Beulah Baptist Church with Rev. Johnny Griffith officiating. Interment with Masonic Rites will follow in the church cemetery .
Mr. Rhodes' nephews will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 6pm-8pm on Monday evening at the funeral home.
Contributions may be made to VA Hospice, Augusta or Beulah Baptist Church Building Fund.
