Carolyn Towner

Mrs. Carolyn Peffer Towner entered into rest on July 6, 2020. Born on December 10, 1939, she moved from her birthplace in the Panama Canal Military Zone to several places throughout the world before settling in Lafayette, Indiana, where she graduated from Purdue University in 1962 and married Carl Oakley "Ted" Towner. Carolyn spent her life teaching, providing child care, and raising her family of spirited children. When she saw a person in need, she would do everything she could to help them, choosing to teach English, Spanish, and Special Education in Warren County, GA in the 1980's. She was a member of Sunnyside Baptist Church in Somerset, KY. She was preceded by her Parents David and Elizabeth Peffer and her brother David Peffer.

Carolyn is survived by her husband Ted Towner, her sister Mary Jo Peffer, her children Mary (Doug Collins), Doug (Andrea Towner) and Stephanie (Brett Carani), and her grandchildren Corey Collins, Thomas Carani, Joseph Towner, Kevin Collins, Casey Collins, Zachary Towner, and Oakley Carani.

The family is holding a memorial service on Saturday, July 18, 2020 at 3 p..m. at Double Branches Baptist Church,

Beggs Funeral Home, Lincolnton assisted the Carolyn Towner family with the cremation.
