Carolyn Phillips Meeks

Thomson, GA – Mrs. Carolyn Phillips Meeks, 69, entered into rest December 17, 2019.

Mrs. Meeks, a lifelong resident of Thomson, was born in Washington, GA, the daughter of the late Sam Phillips and the late Sara Bales Phillips.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Thomson and the Joy Sunday School Class. Mrs. Meeks was a homemaker and was passionate about witnessing and her faith.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Meeks was predeceased by her husband, James Oscar Meeks and brother, Sam Phillips Jr.

Survivors include her son, James Scott Meeks (Dr. Drew Kohlhorst) of Cumming, GA; daughter, April Chante' Wright (Richard) of Milledgeville, GA; and sister, Sara Ann Mason of Waleska, GA.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 1:30 p.m., Monday, December 23, 2019 in the atrium of the First Baptist Church with the funeral service to follow immediately thereafter in the sanctuary with Rev. Matt Ward officiating.  Interment will be in Westview Cemetery.
