Carolyn Fletcher

Carolyn Reed Fletcher, age 86, of Augusta, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2026, in Augusta, Georgia. She was born on June 30, 1940, in Washington, Georgia, and lived most of her life in Lincolnton. Carolyn attended Lincolnton High School and carried the values of hard work and perseverance throughout her life.

Carolyn was a faithful member of First United Pentecostal Church of Augusta, where her presence and quiet strength were appreciated by those who worshiped alongside her. Her life reflected a steady commitment to her beliefs and to the people around her. She found joy in the fellowship of her church family and in the comfort of a life centered on love, service, and gratitude. She enjoyed going on trips to the Tennessee Mountains and taking cruises, and she treasured the memories made along the way. Carolyn also loved crocheting, gardening, and yardwork, and she took great satisfaction in the beauty and care she brought to her surroundings. Whether she was tending to her garden, working in her yard, or creating something special with her hands, she approached each task with patience and care. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Elsie Spires Reed, and by her siblings, Johnny, Herbert, Grady, S.T., Charles, Katherine, and Shirley. Their memory remained close to her heart throughout her life.

She is survived by her children, Tammie C. Snellings of Augusta, Renee C. Miller and her husband Royce of Lincolnton, and Cory Cliatt and his wife Bridgette of Lincolnton. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Jason Bonner, Christopher Bonner, Teresa Nicole Peters, Tracy Shane Peters, Leah Price Avery and her husband Tarrance, Savannah C. Murphy and her husband Caleb, Chloe Cliatt, and Emma Grace Cliatt, a step grandchild, Lania Jiles, as well as her great-grandchildren Edison Avery, Parker Avery, Grayson Avery, Luke Lucas, and Bennett Murphy. Her family was the center of her world, and she cherished each of them deeply. Carolyn Reed Fletcher will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her steadfast love for her family, and the many ways she enriched the lives of those around her. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchild, and all who were blessed to know her. Though she will be greatly missed, the love she gave and the example she set will remain a lasting comfort to those who mourn her passing.
