Carolyn W. Brewer Georgia Pacific Thomson, Ga. - Mrs. Carolyn Whitaker Brewer, 59 of Fluker St. entered into rest December 21, 2009. She was the wife of the late Roy Carroll Brewer. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel in Thomson with Rev. Charles Broome officiating. Interment will follow at Westview Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Jeremy Rachels, Andy Rachels, Travis Taylor, Preston Newton, Joe Sease, and Jarrid Barron. Mrs. Brewer was a native of Augusta but was raised in Camak later moving to Thomson. She was the daughter of the late James F. Whitaker, Sr. and Rachel C. Whitaker. Mrs. Brewer was a former bookkeeper for Georgia Pacific. Survivors include her son, Chris Brewer of Statesboro; daughter, Christi Brewer of Thomson; mother, Rachel C. Whitaker of Thomson; brother, James F. Whitaker, Jr., of Thomson; sister, Christine Taylor of Thomson and several nieces and nephews. The family will be at the home of her mother, Rachel Whitaker at 655 Chestnut Drive, in Thomson, and will receive friends Tuesday, December 22, 2009 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
