Ms. Williams, daughter of the late George Dewey and Addie Sue Norman Talbert was born in Lincolnton on December 13, 1955. She graduated from Lincoln County High School in 1973. She graduated from Augusta College in September of 1988 with a Registered Nursing Degree working St. Joseph, Doctors and Wills Memorial Hospitals. Carol opened and operated Lincoln Wellness Center in 2005. She became a Certified Natural Health Professional in 2007.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Jacob Talbert Walton and stepson, Joshua Shane Walton. She is survived by her daughters, Edie W. Fox and husband Kyle of Lincolnton, Emily Williams of Augusta; stepsons, Jeremy Walton and wife Katie, and Tripp Williams and wife Anna; the father of her daughters, Dr. Robert J. Williams; sisters, Jane McWhorter, husband Fred of Lincolnton and Sandra Marlow, husband Duane of Roopville, Ga.; brother, Norman Talbert, wife Mary Lee of Lincolnton; grandson, Jacob Dewey Fox; and aunt, Orena Cooper. Carol Sue was known for her giving and selflessness personality. Anytime someone needed help, she was there. She would give you the shirt right off her back. She was known as a mother to all and cared for any child that walked through her door like they were her own. She is known as 'Mama Carol' to her daughters' friends. Everybody loved 'Mama Carol'. She enjoyed gardening and all things plants. Carol had a niche for gardening and keeping all her plants alive. She loved to trade plants with her sisters and friends and plant them back at her home to remember them by. She definitely had the Talbert green thumb. Her daughters Edie and Emily were her entire world. She gave them unconditional love since the day they were born. Her grandson, Jacob Dewey, came into the world and stole a bit of that spotlight. Although, she loved her girls, she loved her grandson equally. She called him 'my little angel.'
Carol Sue will be greatly missed by all of those who knew her. Edie and Emily would like to thank all the family and friends, Dr. Robert J. Williams, and Regency Hospice for all the help throughout this time. Beggs Funeral Home, Lincolnton is honored to serve the family of Ms. Carol Sue Williams.
