Brock Sherman Devore

Brock Sherman DeVore, 21, of Morris Callaway Rd., Appling, Georgia entered into eternal rest on March 7, 2022.

Brock was a lifelong resident of Appling, Georgia and a 2018 graduate of Harlem High School. Brock was blessed with a natural athletic ability and mechanical mind.  He was a dynamic catcher on the baseball field and a phenomenal running back on the football field.  He was instrumental in leading his CCR Football team to two State Championships.  He worked alongside his father at the family business Ground Cover Supply in Evans, Georgia.  Whether it be serving as sales representative, project manager or equipment operator, Brock was dependable and did his job well.

Brock enjoyed spending time with his family.  He lived his life to the fullest, and he knew his eternal destination.  Being an avid outdoorsman, Brock took every opportunity to be outside enjoying God's creation.   Brock loved his family, and they loved their "Rock Dog".  He loved animals, especially his dogs, chickens and rabbits.  He enjoyed snow skiing, fishing and drifting down the creek, being with friends and family, hunting, trout fishing in the mountains, shooting skeet, and riding country dirt roads.  He loved his butter cookies, milk, and his mom's chicken fiesta.  Brock enjoyed grilling with his Dad.  His infectious smile and kind ways will forever be in our memory.

He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Bill DeVore. Brock is survived by his father, Guy DeVore of Appling; mother, Karen Meyers DeVore of Girard; his twin brother, Bentley DeVore and his older brother, Garrett DeVore of Appling; paternal grandmother, Barbara DeVore; maternal grandfather, Frank Meyers (Andrea) of Brunswick and maternal grandmother, Anne Greene (David) of Waycross; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

His visitation will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at West Acres Baptist Church, and his Funeral Service, being officiated by Pastor Larry Harmon, will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the church sanctuary.   Please visit www.beggsfuneralhome.net to sign the family's personal guestbook.
