Brian Mayo Norwood, GA-Mr. Brian W. Mayo, 53, of 1938 Old Greensboro Rd. entered into rest October 30, 2014. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, November 02, 2014 in the chapel of Beggs Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Dunaway and Tony Mayo officiating. Interment will follow in Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens. Mr. Mayo was a lifelong resident of Warren County, Georgia and a 1979 graduate of Briarwood Academy. He was a graduate of North Georgia Technical College. Mr. Mayo was the owner and operator of Mayo's Welding and retired from Wheland Foundry. Mr. Mayo was a perfectionist and took great pride in anything that he did. He had a great passion and interest in American Indian History, the Civil War and was recently accepted into the Sons of Confederate Veterans. He was also a member of Little Brier Creek Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Lynn Kitchens Mayo; son, Brandon Chance (Lesly) of Thomson, GA; daughter, Kiley Chance of Flint, Michigan; mother, Nena E. Mayo of Norwood, GA; brother, Michael Mayo of San Francisco,CA and grandchildren, Chase Powell and Bailey Chance. Mr. Mayo was preceded in death by his father, Horace Mayo. The family will receive friends from  7 until 9 p.m., Saturday at the funeral home. Beggs Funeral Home, 799 Cobbham Rd., Thomson, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
