Norwood,  GA - Mr. Bradford Bates, 50, entered into rest January 13, 2016.

Mr. Bates was born in Richmond, Virginia to the late Harry Douglas Bates and the late Melinda Ellen Dale Bates. He grew up in Milledgeville and Athens, GA and moved to Norwood 10 years ago. He was a retired driver for Velstar. Mr. Bates was a member of THE WAY INTERNATIONAL.  He loved the outdoors and his dog "Nugget".

Survivors include his wife, Susan J. Bates; sisters, Harriet Eason of Macon, GA and Lori Vickery of Lavonia, GA; step-mother Linda Bates of Brasselton, GA; four nieces and nephews, Jonathan Eason, Lydia Eason, Luke Vickery, and Emily Vickery.

A memorial service will be held at 2 o'clock p.m., Saturday, January 16, 2016 at the First Baptist Church, Warrenton, GA with Dr. Brandon Furr officiating.

The family will receive friends at the church following the memorial service.
