Bonnie Fay Land Thomson, GA- Mrs. Bonnie Fay Land, 68 of Mesena Road entered into rest May 28, 2011. She was the beloved wife of Bobby Land. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at First Baptist Church Thomson with Revs. David Lambert and David Walker officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Chad McCord, Chris McCord, Britt Hammond, Bruce Strother, Terry Myers and Jim McFadyen. Mrs. Land, daughter of the late General Lee Myers and Virginia Johnson Smith, was born in Hawkinsville, Georgia. In 1969, she moved to Thomson. Mrs. Land was the co-owner of Bobby Land Appliance and a member of Sweetwater Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Bobby Land of Thomson, GA; sons, Parker Land and his wife, Susan, and Jared Land and his wife, Mary Kate; step-son Stephen Keith Land and his wife, Karen, all of Thomson, GA; her mother, Virginia Johnson Smith of Perry, GA; brothers, Orvis Myers of Pensacola, FL, Hugh Richardson of Vienna, GA, and Ricky Smith of North Augusta, SC; sisters, Ann Richardson of Bartow, FL, Jackie Duckworth of Henderson, GA, and Jan Hammond of Fitzgerald, GA; grandchildren, Summer Land, Connor Land, Aaron Land, and Cooper Land; and step-grandchildren, Josh Land, Elizabeth Land, and Will Land. In addition to floral offerings, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, Special Missions Fund, P. O. Box 1205, Thomson, GA 30824. The family will receive friends at the home of Bobby Land, 2273 Mesena Road or from 7 until 9 p.m. Monday, May 30, 2011 at the funeral home.
