Bonnie Breit Brown, 77, Thomson, Georgia, entered into eternal rest on September 12, 2024.

She was born in Milledgeville, Georgia on August 3, 1947, grew up in Sparta, Georgia, graduated from Sparta High School and lived most of her life in Hancock County.  She was Baptist by faith and a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church.  Bonnie was a social worker and worked with DFACS in Hancock County until her retirement.  She loved crafts, reading, vacationing with family and was known as "Nana" to all her grandchildren.

Bonnie is preceded in death by her parents, Johnny Breit and Janice Hall Breit.  Her survivors include, her daughter, Caroline Sowell (Mike), son, George E. "Chip" Brown, Jr. (Leigh); her five grandchildren, Blake Sowell (Taylor), Bryce Sowell, Austin Brown (Alex), Lane Brown and Bethany Teal; and two great grandchildren, Gracelynn Brown and Parker Sowell.  The family wishes to thank Dr. James Lemley, Patsy Hillman and especially Vanessa Zellars, a dedicated and devoted caregiver.

A Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 15, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Beggs Funeral Home, 799 Cobbham Road, Thomson, Georgia.  A private memorial by the family will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Prodigal Ministries, P.O. Box 84, Evans, GA 30809 or at prodigalaug.org.
