Martinez, GA- Mr. Bobby Lee Mayo, 80, was born on May 13, 1936. He entered into rest on Sunday, November 13, 2016 in his home surrounded by his loved ones. Mr. Mayo grew up in Warren County, Georgia. He has been retired for 29 years from the Georgia and CSX Railroad, where he worked 33 years as a General Foreman. He has been an active member of Franklin Lodge #11 in Warrenton for 50 years and was a member and Deacon of Martinez Baptist Church. Mr. Mayo was an avid hunter and fisherman.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Betty Dent Mayo; one son, Richard Lee Mayo; two daughters, Robyn Mayo Gray and her husband, Christopher, Lisa Anne Mayo; grandson, Zachary D. Sellers; three granddaughters, McKenzie Gray, Lindsey Sellers and Carrington Gray; and one sister, Shirley Moore. Mr. Mayo was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Hazel Mayo and three brothers, David Eugene Mayo, Walter Mayo, and Horace Mayo.

Funeral services will be held at 11 o'clock a.m., Tuesday, November 15th at Martinez Baptist Church with Revs. Phillip Winsett and Rev. Tommy Harwell officiating. A graveside service will follow at 2 o'clock p.m. at Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens, Thomson.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m., Monday, November 14th at the funeral home.
