Bobbie Jean Rabun Gearns
Plainfield, Indiana - Mrs. Bobbie Gearns, 80, passed away November 19, 2017 at her residence in Plainfield, Indiana.
She spent most of her life in her hometown, Thomson, GA. She was born in Dearing, GA on July 13, 1937 to the late Chesley and Bessie Mae Rabun. Bobbie was a member of the First Baptist Church in Thomson, GA and a devoted member of the Gleanes Sunday School class. She retired from the Thomson Company and was an avid fan of the University of Georgia Bulldogs.
She is survived by her husband, Eric Gearns of Plainfield, IN; daughter, Diane Wagoner (Jon), and granddaughter Amanda Powell, all of Johns Island, SC; step-children, Jamie and Sean Gearns, Daniel Bryant, Lane Musich, Maggie Gearns, and Danielle Bryant; step-grandchildren, Kennedy, McKenna and Cade Musich, Maya, Journey, and Liam Gearns, and Payton Bryant; brother C.A. Rabun (Clyde) of Perry, GA; sister, Evelyn Richards (Ken) of Thomson, GA; nieces, Jackie Johnson, Terri King, Julie Layfield, and June Gilbert; and great nephews, Nick Hubert and Dylan Johnson.
Graveside services will be held at 11 o'clock a.m., Friday, November 24, 2017 at Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens with the Rev. David Lambert officiating.
The family will receive friends the day of the service at the funeral home from 9:45 until 10:45 a.m.
Beggs Funeral Home, Thomson, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
