Blaine Smith Thomson, GA - Mr. Tony Blaine Smith, 35, of Jackson Street entered into rest September 21, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Monday, September 24, 2012 at the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Prater and Rev. David Honeycutt officiating. Interment will follow in Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be: Tony Holloway, Lee Blackburn, Jack Garrison, Patrick Smith, Eric Smith and Charlie Smith. Mr. Smith was a lifelong resident of McDuffie County, Georgia and was a 1995 Graduate of Thomson High School. Survivors include his mother, Shelia Lancaster Smith of Thomson and fiance', Gary Beard of Millport, Mississippi; brother, Nick Smith and wife, Laura of Evans; nephew, Michael Smith; paternal grandmother, Thelma Brassell of Boneville and maternal grandmother, Jimmie Nell Lancaster of Thomson. Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his father, Tony W. Smith. Memorials may be made to Special Olympics of Georgia, 4000 Dekalb Technology Parkway, Building 400, Suite 400, Atlanta, GA 30340. Friends may call the residence of Shelia Smith, 620 Jackson Street, Thomson, Georgia or from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m., Monday, September 24, 2012 prior to the service at the funeral home.
