Billy "Pete" Hudson, Jr., 65, Dearing, Georgia, entered into eternal rest on June 11, 2023, as his residence.

Pete was born on May 20, 1958, in Thomson, Georgia and was a lifelong resident of McDuffie County.  Pete was Baptist by faith and a member of Dearing Baptist Church.  Pete loved driving semi-trucks, running the Bobcat, mowing with tractors, tending the family cows and running the tree service with his son, Josh.  He loved being PaPete to his four grandchildren and great-nephew and watching them grow up and celebrating their achievements. Pete enjoyed being with friends and family.

Pete was preceded in death by his parents, Billy W. Hudson, Sr. and Joann Farr Hudson.  His survivors include his devoted wife of 46 years, Mona Langley Hudson; his son, Josh Hudson; his daughter, Jill Norris (Cory); his sister, Kathy Carithers (Howard); his grandchildren, Katie Hudson, Madi Norris, Gabe Hudson and Maci Norris; his mother-in-law, Claudette Langley; and his great nephew, Weston Purvis.
