Dearing, GA-Mr. Billy G. Bowick, 66, of Wellmaker Road entered into rest July 1, 2015.

Mr. Bowick was a native of Lincoln County, GA and the son of the late John Ed Bowick and the late Viola Turner Bowick.  He retired last week as a carpenter with the Carpenter's Local #283 after 45 years of service.  He enjoyed helping others and was a friend to all that knew him.  Mr. Bowick was a Baptist by faith.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 48 years, JoAnn D. Bowick; daughter, Beverly Carlton Herron (Eddie) of Augusta, GA; son, Billy Wayne Bowick (Debbie) of Dearing, GA; brother, James Thomas Bowick of Washington, GA; sister, Annie Ruth Williams of Greenville, SC; grandchildren, Kristy Chavous, Brandon Carlton, Megan Crawford, Kristian Pennino and Caleb Kitchens; great grandchildren, Blake Chavous and Austin Crawford.

Funeral services will be held at 4 o'clock, p.m., Sunday, July 5, 2015 in the chapel of Beggs Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Dunaway officiating.  Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2 until 4 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home prior to the service.
