Billy Barksdale

Billy Barksdale, 79, Thomson, Georgia, entered into eternal rest on February 25, 2025.

He was born in Macon, Georgia on October 25, 1945, grew up and lived most of his life in Manning, South Carolina and moved to McDuffie County in 1965.  Billy served his Country in the U. S. Air Force for 23 years, worked with Thomson Oak Flooring and Lake Crossing Health and Rehabilitation.  He was Baptist by faith, enjoyed antiquing, making and restoring furniture and loved spending time with his friends and family.

Billy was preceded in death by his parents, Willard Barksdale and Lula Cox Barksdale. His survivors include his wife of 50 years, Patricia Thompson Barksdale; his son, William Jason Barksdale (Dana); his sisters, Patsy Clark of Thomson, Georgia and Sandra Dye of Elberton, Georgia and one grandchild, Aden Cross Barksdale.

His Memorial Service will be held in the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel, 799 Cobbham Road, Thomson, Georgia on Friday, February 28, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. with the family receiving friends at the funeral home one hour before the service.  Please visit www.beggsfuneralhome.net to sign the family's personal guestbook.
