Thomson, GA-Mr. Billie W. Johnson, 78, of Ridge Ave. entered into rest January 23, 2015.

Mr. Johnson was born in Wrens, GA and was the son of the late Moses Johnson and the late Corene Wren Johnson. He served in the U. S. Air Force during Vietnam and retired as a Photography Instructor with 23 years of service. During his career, he wrote several books used by the U. S. Air Force for the training of military photography. Mr. Johnson was an active member of Thomson Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Lorena Stephens Johnson; daughters, Deborah Michelle Shepherd, Robin J. Hardy; and grandchildren, April Kitchens, Marnai Boose, Corey Shepherd, Jessica Simon, Jake Hardy, Shawn Shepherd and Lillian Hardy and 8 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at the Thomson Presbyterian Church with LTG Dewayne Patrick (Ret.) and Elder Stephen Palmer officiating. Interment will follow in the Zoar United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Thomson Presbyterian Church, 617 Jackson Street, Thomson, GA 30824.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m., Monday at the funeral home.
