Betty Jean Williams

Mrs. Betty Jean Franklin Williams, 83, entered into rest Thurs., Jan. 12, 2012 at Thomson Health and Rehabilitation. Mrs. Williams, daughter of the late Roy and Geneva Stamey Franklin,was a native of Gaston County, NC. She had been a resident of New Ellenton and North Augusta while employed by Dupont at SRP and retired as Senior purchasing agent after 38 years of service. During that time, she had been a member of the Sheffield Club at First Baptist Church, North Augusta and the Order of the Eastern Star. In 1988, following retirement, she and her husband, J.B. "Pete" Williams, moved to the lake in Lincoln County. Mrs. Williams then became active in the Lincoln County Historical Society, and Double Branches Baptist Church where she was a member of the Fidelis Sunday School. In 1999, her beloved husband, Pete, passed away. Survivors: Daughter: Sharon Faglier, and husband, Kenneth, Dearing, Ga. Brother: Richard Franklin, and wife, Margaret, Bessemer City, NC Grandchildren: Melissa Norfleet; Brad Faglier, and wife, Paige; James H. Claypool; Daniel Faglier, and wife, Crystal 6 Great- grandchildren Vistiation will begin at 2 pm. on Sunday, Jan. 15th at Double Branches Baptist Church with the funeral service immediately following at 3 pm. Revs. Keith Etheridge and Deryl Odom will officiate. Burial will follow in Bessemer City, NC on Tuesday, January 17th, 2012
