Betty Jo Solomon Thomson, GA. - Mrs. Betty Jo Solomon, 77 of Moose Club Rd. died November 1, 2011. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 4, 2011 at the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tim Ferrell officiating. Interment will follow in Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be: Roger Lee Neal, Sr., Roger Lee Neal, Jr., Roger Lee Neal, III, Randy Huff, John Veldboom and Charles E. Thomas, Jr. Mrs. Solomon was born in Bridgeport, Alabama and was the daughter of the late Lindsey Thomas and the late Jessie Rollins Thomas. She lived in Augusta many years and retired as manager of the One-Hour Martinizing Cleaners. Mrs. Solomon attended Bethel Baptist Church in Thomson. Survivors include her beloved husband of 58 years, Harold F. Solomon; sons, Harold Lynn Solomon and wife, Connie of Waynesboro, GA, Thomas Keith Solomon and wife, Sonja of Hephzibah, GA; daughter, Tina Darlene Neal and husband, Roger of Gibson, GA ; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Mrs. Solomon was preceded in death by her brothers, Lindsey W. Thomas, Charles Edward Thomas and grandchildren, Chrissy Solomon and Baby Deake Solomon. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 4, 2011 at the funeral home.
