Betty Snider Pulliam

Betty Gole Snider Pulliam, age 86, moved to her heavenly home on Dec. 24, 2017. She was married to her late husband Hubert Pulliam for 65 years, and we know that he greeted her with open arms in heaven. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by her parents, Bunyan Snider and Adel Dawson Snider; four brothers, Herman Snider, Clifford Snider, Marion Snider, John "Skip" Snider and four sisters, Martha S. Kitchens, Dorothy S. Walker, Bessie S. Walker and Ivylin S. Rachels.

Survivors include one son, Wayne Pulliam (Kathy), Franklin, TN; three daughters, Gail Wilcher (Rodney), Thomson, GA; Glenda Lamb (Scott), and Lynn Pulliam, both of Mitchell, GA; seven grandchildren, Adam Wilcher (Heather), Brock Wilcher (Diane), Haywood Pulliam (Loree), Kristin Pulliam, Kimberly Hawkins (James), Joshua Lamb, and Aaron Lamb. She leaves nine great grandchildren and her cherished friend, Betty Hutcheson. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, who always put the needs of others before herself. Her greatest joys were her family, her church, Mill Creek Baptist, and her community. She served as pianist, organist, WMU director and any role where she was needed.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Mill Creek Baptist Church, 6252 Mill Creek Church Rd., Mitchell, GA with Reverend Jeff Pulliam and Reverend Clifton Drawdy officiating. Visitation will be at the church immediately prior to service, beginning at 12:30 until the service. Interment will follow in the Mitchell City Cemetery.

The family would like to thank her special caregivers: Nancy Thomas, Connie Black, Kandy Clay, Jane Bland, Bert Braddy, Kristy Davis, Heather Davis, Sharon Crawford and Pruitt Hospice.
