Betty Frances Norris Morris, 89, Thomson, Georgia, entered into eternal rest on August 14, 2024.
Betty was born in Thomson, Georgia on September 21, 1934, lived her entire life in McDuffie County, attended Thomson High School, was known for her hard work ethic and was Baptist by faith. She was a devoted homemaker for her family and worked for McDuffie Feed in the garden center. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and loved spending time with her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, John Norris and Rosa Mae Brinkley; her son, Curtis Wayne Morris and her brother, Charlie Norris. Betty's survivors include her sons, Obediah "Obbie" Morris and Charles Curtis Morris; her daughters, Gail Morris Coleman and Judy Morris Davis (Mark); her grandchildren, Michele Blount (Steve), Jason Morris, Eric Coleman, Ashley Garthright (Matt), Daniel Morris, Dusty Morris, Krystal Morris, Tyler Davis (Brittney), Michael Morris, Skylar Cowart (Hunter) and Summer Morris and 16 great grandchildren.
There will be visitation held at Beggs Funeral Home, 799 Cobbham Road, Thomson, Georgia on Saturday, August 17, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. with the service in the Chapel beginning at 12:00 p.m., officiated by Rev. Bobby Farmer and interment following in Westview Cemetery, Thomson, Georgia. Pallbearers for the service are Daniel Morris, Dusty Morris, Tyler Davis, Eric Coleman, Hunter Cowart and Will Sims.
