Thomson, Georgia- Mrs. Betty Ann Gay, 75, of Truman Street entered into rest October 7, 2017 at her residence.

Mrs. Gay was born in Norwood, GA to the late Pat Reese and the late Nora Wilson Reese. She worked at Thomson Company and she was a childcare provider for many years. Mrs. Gay was a faithful and devoted homemaker and a member of Bethel Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gay was predeceased by a son, Thomas Edward Gay, Jr.; brothers, Haynes Reese and Hugh Reese; and sisters, Helen Parish and Harriett McGahee.

Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Edward Gay; son, Tim Gay (Lisa) of Panama City, FL; daughter, Noree Bland of Thomson, GA; sister, Jenita Durham of Martinez, GA; granddaughter, Mallory Bland and great granddaughter, Ariel Bland both of Augusta, GA.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Ferrell officiating. Interment will follow in New Providence Baptist Church Cemetery, Norwood, GA.

The family will receive friends from 1 until 3 p.m., Tuesday at Bethel Baptist Church.
