Betty Ann Booth Mobley, 86, Thomson, Georgia, entered into eternal rest on February 19, 2025.
She was born in Canon, Georgia on December 31, 1938, grew up in Atlanta, Georgia and has lived in Thomson, Georgia most of her life. Betty graduated from Augusta Tech School of Cosmetology as a Master Cosmetologist. She was Methodist by faith and a member of Young Memorial Methodist Church, member of the Senior Ladies Lunch Club, enjoyed going to the Young-at-Heart and Sunshine Club with friends , crafts (knitting and sewing), was an avid reader, loved flowers and loved spending time with her family and friends.
Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Marion E. Mobley, Sr. and her parents, Luther William Booth and Mary Ruth Baty; her stepmother, Dorothy Amelia Shank Booth; her daughter, Cynthia Lynn Mobley Wren; brothers, Willis C. Booth and Nathanael Lee Booth and her sister, Monie Jo Booth Anglin. Her survivors include her son, Marion "Everette" Mobley, Jr. (Wendy) of Thomson, Georgia; her brother, Jimmy Franklin Booth (Becky) of Windsor, South Carolina; her sisters, Judy Booth and Mary Booth of Thomson, Georgia and Patricia McGahee of Dearing, Georgia, grandchildren, great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Her Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at the graveside at Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens, 2235 Washington Road, Thomson, Georgia from 1:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. with her graveside service, being officiated by Pastor Frances Rowell and Rev.
