Betty Jean Bentley Adkins

Mrs. Betty Adkins, 70 of Washington Hwy., Lincolnton, entered into rest on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at Wills Memorial Hospital, Washington.

Ms. Adkins, daughter of the late Nathaniel and Geneva Palmer Bentley was born on June 10, 1952 in Washington, Ga. She grew up in Lincolnton and graduated from LCHS in 1970. She had lived in Lincolnton most of her life and retired from Lincoln County 911 after 19 years as a dispatcher. Also, she was a member of Harvest Time Christian Fellowship. Her hobbies included reading and watching the Food Network.

She is survived by her daughter, Daphne McMunn and husband Eric of Lincolnton; son, Brent Adkins and wife Rita of Warrenton; brother, Howard Bentley of Edgefield, SC; grandchildren, Amber McMunn and Dalton McMunn. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Tracey Bentley.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2022 at 3:00 pm at Beggs Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Lincolnton City Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
