Mrs. Barbara "Bobbie" Aycock, 87, wife of the late James Edward Aycock, died Thursday, March 23, 2017 at Lake Crossing Health Center, Appling.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 25 th at 2 pm at Lincolnton Baptist Church with Rev. Tripp Goodwin and Paul Reviere officiating. Interment will follow in the Lincolnton City Cemetery.
Grandsons, Jameson Chastain, Chad Aycock, Lex Aycock, and Great- grandsons, Travis Gunn, CJ Aycock, and Adam Chastain will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 1pm until the hour of the funeral in the church social hall.
Mrs. Aycock, daughter of the late Norman Alexander Wright and Abigail Banks Wright, was a lifelong resident of Lincoln County, a homemaker and member of Lincolnton Baptist Church, but more importantly, she was a loving wife, Mama, MaMa, Nanny and friend to so many. Her brother, Treadwell Wright, preceded her in death.
Survivors: Son, Alex Aycock (Sandra) of Lincolnton; Daughters, Cindy A. Chastain and husband, Charles and Faith A. Hill, and husband, Mark all of Lincolnton; Sisters, Daphne Rowland, Ophelia Gibson, and Reesie Ludwig, Lincolnton; Grandchildren, Jameson Chastain(Cindy Lee), Chad Aycock (Liz), Lex Aycock, Elizabeth Bagwelll (Brad), Amanda Sandifer (Brad) and Barbara Hill; Great- grandchildren, Travis Gunn, C.J. Aycock, Adam Chastain, Ali Aycock, Lexi Aycock, Whit Sandifer, Wes Sandifer and Alexandria Bagwell; Great- great grandchildren, Jared and Jase Gunn.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Augusta, 106 SRP Drive, Suite A, Evans, Ga 30809.
