William Arthur Downs

Mt. Airy, GA. – Mr. Arthur Downs, 52, entered into rest January 20, 2018.

Mr. Downs was a native of Mitchell, Georgia and the son of the late Alvin Downs and Mrs. Nell Stewart Downs.  Mr. Downs was currently employed as a truck driver with AIM Logistics.  He attended Grace Baptist Church. Mr. Downs enjoyed spending time with his family and farming. He was known by his family as a jack of all trades.

Survivors in addition to his mother include his beloved wife of 3 years,  Kim Meeks Downs of Corneliea, GA; children, Rebekah, Rachel, Carrie, Jesse, and Leah Culpepper all of Cornelia, GA; brother, John Downs of Gibson, GA; father-in-law and mother-in-law, William and Sue Westmoreland Meeks of Mt. Airy, GA; and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Friendship Baptist Church in Mitchell, GA with Reverend Tony Key officiating.

Beggs Funeral Home, 799 Cobbham Rd., Thomson, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
