Appling, GA - Mr. Alton Andrews, 86, entered into rest December 11, 2018.

Mr. Andrews, long-time resident of Appling, GA, was born in Sparta, North Carolina, the son of the late Paul Franklin Andrews and the late Verna Brown Andrews.  He was retired from the U.S. Air Force and then worked as a Manager for Lowes in Thomson, GA.  Mr. Andrews loved gardening, the outdoors, and was a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Andrews was predeceased by his beloved wife, Helen Ommundson Andrews; brother, Roger Andrews; and special friend Nell Arrington.

Survivors include his daughters, Heather Fernandez (Ivan) and Holly Andrews;  grandson, Aaron Andrews; brothers Clenton Andrews, Richard Andrews, Arlon Andrews, and David Andrews; and sisters, Naomi Slate and Helen Edwards (Russ).

Funeral services will be held at 11 o'clock a.m.., Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at Shiloh United Methodist Church with Rev. Shirley Suarez officiating.  Interment will follow in the Shiloh United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 - 8 p.m., Monday at the funeral home.
