Grovetown, GA - Allen Wayne Powell, 77, loving husband of 53 years of Karon Powell, entered into rest on Monday, January 8, 2024.

Mr. Powell was the son of the late Allen Powell and Lucille Sutherland Powell.  He enjoyed spending time with his family, the river, listening to music, anything outdoors,  and eating his sweets. Mr. Powell was HVAC Technician by trade.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Mary Arnold, and a brother, Cleve "Man"  Powell.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Karon Powell;  his children, John Powell (Melissa) of Thomson, Duane Powell of Norwood; 10 grandchildren, Megan Loveday (Bryan), Nicole Powell, Allen Powell, Jackson Powell, Savannah Powell, Cody Cowart, Cole Cowart, Meghann Pentecost, Jackson Pentecost and Markell Hobbs;  13 Great-grandchildren;  brothers, David Powell (Linda) of McBean, Doug Powell of Waynesboro;  his sister, Margaret Corley of Hephzibah

A Celebration of life will be held at 12:00 PM on Thursday, January 11, 2024 at Beggs Funeral Home, 799 Cobbham Road, Thomson, Georgia with the Reverend Larry Williams officiating.

Visitation will be held on Thursday from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at the funeral home.
