Allen Goldman
Mr. Goldman, son of the late Hobson A. and Dolie Burgess Goldman was a lifelong resident of Lincoln County. During WWII, he had served in the U.S. Army in the European Theatre.
He was retired from the Georgia Department of Transportation, a farmer, and had served on the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners representing District #2 for 12 years. Also, he was a member of the Lincolnton Baptist Church and former Sunday School Teacher. Other memberships include the Lincoln County Cattleman's Association and the Lincoln County Soil and Water Conservation District. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Ann Moss Goldman and brother, Steve Goldman.
He is survived by:
Daughters: Alana G. Burke, and husband, Bill of Lincolnton
Joann G. Collins, and husband, Billy of Lincolnton
Sons: Harold A. Goldman, Jr.
Gene R. Goldman and wife, Floydean all of Lincolnton, Ga.
A special friend, Mrs. Inez McWhorter
15 Grandchildren
15 Great- grandchildren
Adam Burke, Chris Goldman, Austin Goldman, Russell Goldman, C.J. Goldman, Walker T. Norman and Willie Story will serve as pallbearers.
