Everett "Allen" Dye, 74, Thomson, Georgia, entered into eternal rest on April 15, 2024.

Allen was born in Washington, Georgia on March 26, 1950, grew up as a child in Warren County and has lived in McDuffie County for forty-six years.  He worked as a maintenance superintendent and retired from Kellogg's.  Allen served his Country in the U. S. Army in the 101st Airborne Division during the Vietnam War. Allen enjoyed storytelling, meeting people and sharing his stories, being outdoors, fishing and horses and especially loved spending time with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Faye Lazenby Dye.  His survivors include his son, Jason Hawkins (Stacy) of Thomson, Georgia; his daughters, Ashley Dye of Augusta, Georgia and Lisa Buckner of Mitchell, Georgia; his brothers, Don Dye (Jody) of Jackson, South Carolina and James Barton, Jr. (Michele) of Eldridge, Iowa; and his sisters, Faye Kitchens (Wendell) of Gibson, Georgia, Pat Martin of Woodlawn, Tennessee and Cheryl Correia of Thomson, Georgia; his grandson, Austin Myers, five grandchildren total and fourteen great grandchildren and other extended family.

A Celebration of Life in his memory, being officiated by Rev. Phil Pilgrim, will be held in the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel, 799 Cobbham Road, Thomson, Georgia 30824, on Monday, April 22, 2024, at 3:00 p.m.  The family will receive friends for visitation at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.  Please visit www.beggsfuneralhome.net to sign the family's personal guestbook.
