Alice "Elaine" Stephens, 71, Thomson, Georgia, entered into eternal rest on January 27, 2022, at University Hospital, Augusta, Georgia

Elaine was born in Augusta, Georgia on January 4, 1951, grew up in Mitchell, graduated from Glascock County High School was a native of Thomson, Georgia and lived in Southeast Kentucky for 17 years.  She was Christian by faith and a member of Union Baptist Church.  Elaine was a housewife, mother, quick-witted, enjoyed sewing, crocheting, crafts, flowers, gardening, plants, watching western movies and especially loved spending time with her family and friends.

Elaine is preceded in death by her parents, Hadden "Pete" Kent and Maline Purvis Lyons and her sister, Marsha Lyons.  Her survivors include her son, Kenneth Stephens (Terri) of Lexington, Kentucky; her daughter, Jennifer Stephens-Kamerad of Thomson, Georgia; her former husband of 49 years, David Stephens; her brothers, Dwayne Lyons (Sharon) of Gibson, Georgia and Vic Lyons (Chris) of North Augusta, South Carolina; her sisters, Lisa Wasden (Alan) of Louisville, Georgia and Melba Vaughn of Augusta, Georgia; her grandchildren, Austin Stephens, Allison Stephens, Branden Kamerad (Brandi), Corbin Kamerad and Katelyn Kamerad; and aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Her Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. at Beggs Funeral Home, and her Funeral Service, being officiated by Rev. Butch Baston, will be begin at 3:00 p.m. at Beggs Funeral Home Chapel, 799 Cobbham Road, Thomson, Georgia.  Please visit www.beggsfuneralhome.net to sign the family's personal guestbook.
