Alice Yvonne Arrington Kitchens, 79, Dearing, Georgia, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, December 13, 2023.  She was the wife of the late Harry L. Kitchens, Sr.  She was also preceded in death by her parents, Paul Royce Arrington and Bessie Prickett Arrington and her brothers, Paul Arrington, Jr. and Burley Arrington.

Alice was born in Jefferson County on December 4, 1944, and grew up in Jefferson County.  When she married Harry L. Kitchens, Sr. "Bud", they made her home in Glascock County and lived there for over 46 years.  Alice was Methodist by faith and a member of Zoar Church of Glascock County, and recently moved to McDuffie County.  She was a seamstress by trade, worked many years for Thomson Company until it closed and then retired from Chardan.  She enjoyed sewing, reading, visiting others, doing word searches and especially loved serving her Lord.  Alice also loved work, taking care of her family and spending time with them.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Loretta Purvis Trippany (Terry); her son, Harry L. Kitchens, Jr.; her sisters, Emma Kitchens (Kenneth) and Trudell Harden; her grandchildren, Deric Bales (Mollie) and Michael Mobley; her great grandchildren, Sophie Bales, Deklan Bales and Evelyn Bales and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Beggs Funeral Home, 799 Cobbham Road, Thomson, Georgia, on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.  A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Beggs Funeral Home, Thomson, Georgia, being officiated by Pastor Faye Burgamy.

The family would like to extend their thanks to Regency Southern Care Hospice for the professional care given to their mother during her time of illness.
