Alberta Marie Callahan

Appling, Georgia – Mrs. Alberta Marie Callahan, 90, entered into rest July 1, 2020.

Mrs. Callahan, a native of Indiana, but long-time resident of McDuffie County, was the daughter of the late Albert and Lillian Clark Gillen.  She was a homemaker, enjoyed gardening, was an avid reader, and provided a haven to stray animals.   Mrs. Callahan was predeceased by her husband, Arna Callahan; son, James Wickizer; and daughter, Diane Arrington.

Survivors include sons, David Wickizer of Kennesaw, GA and Gary Wickizer (Laurie) of South Bend, IN; daughter, Karla Blair (Scott) of Grovetown, GA; step-children, Keith Callahan, Karen Callahan Ingle, Katherine Orszulak (Dennis), Kim Callahan, Kenneth Callahan (Melody), and Kary Callahan (Carolyn); and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

No service is planned at this time.
