William “Billy” D. Corley
Thomson, GA – Mr. William “Billy” D. Corley, 59, entered into rest on September 30, 2019.
Mr. Corley, a long-time resident of Thomson, was born in Augusta, GA, the son of the late Aaron A. Corley and the late Patricia Pollard Corley. He grew up in Florida and Pennsylvania. Mr. Corley served in the U.S. Army, previously worked in the outdoor billboard industry, and was the Operations Manager for the Thomson First United Methodist Church where he was a member. He always had a way of making everyone smile. Mr. Corley loved fly fishing in the North Carolina mountains and was passionate about the Honduras Mission Trips through the Thomson First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Keryl Hartinger Corley; daughters, Danielle Corley of South Carolina and Jessica Corley of Jacksonville, FL; brother, Steve Corley; sister, Sandra Chance of South Carolina; uncle, Edward Corley; grandchildren, William Daniel Corley II of Florida and Hannah Lyda of Harlem, GA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, October 4, 2019 at Thomson First United Methodist Church, 353 Main St., Thomson, GA 30824 with Rev. Ronny Brannen officiating.
The family will receive friends from 10 until 11 a.m. Friday in the church fellowship hall prior to the service.
