William Perry Blackwell, Jr.
Thomson, GA – Mr. William Perry Blackwell, Jr., 92, entered into rest May 9, 2019.
Mr. Blackwell, a long-time resident of Thomson, was born in Arcadia, Florida, the son of the late William Perry Blackwell, Sr. and the late Mae Boyett Blackwell. He served his country in the Navy during the Korean War. Mr. Blackwell was a welder by trade and the owner of Blackwell Welding Services. He was a Methodist by faith. In addition to his parents, Mr. Blackwell was predeceased by his daughter, Lisa Blackwell.
Survivors include his beloved wife, June Lynn Blackwell; sons, James William “Billy” Blackwell and Robert Blackwell; daughter, Jerilyn Blackwell; stepdaughter, Lynn Bythrow; and brother, Johnny Blackwell.
The family will receive friends from 2 until 3 p.m., on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held at Port Mayaca Cemetery, Port Mayaca, FL at a later date.
