Virginia “Ginnie” C. Fairburn
Harlem, Georgia. – Ms. Virginia C. Fairburn, 69, entered into rest on April 17, 2017.
Ms. Fairburn was born in Mauldin, SC to the late Walter Smith, Sr. and Lena Ayers Smith, but was a long-time resident of Harlem, GA. She was employed by Georgia Iron Works for 37 years as an accountant. Ms. Fairburn enjoyed spending time on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. She was a Baptist by faith. Survivors include her husband, Bobby Parris; her mother, Lena Smith of Gilbert, SC; brothers, Walter Smith, Jr. and Ed Smith of Mauldin, SC; and sister, Millie Headrick of Gilbert, SC.
A memorial service will be held at 11 o’clock a.m., Friday, April 21, 2017 in the chapel of Beggs Funeral Home with Pastor Jimmy Richardson officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 until 11 prior to the service at the funeral home.
It is the family’s request that memorial contributions may be made to the Breast Cancer Association.
