Reggie Hinton
Warrenton, GA – Mr. Reginald Mulkey “Reggie” Hinton, 74, of Academy Street, entered peacefully into rest October 26, 2018 at his residence. Reggie was a lifelong resident of Warren County, Georgia and the son of the late James Louie Hinton and the late Alma Fair Hinton. He was a 1961 graduate of Warren County High School. He worked as a forester for many years with Forest and Land Services and retired from Canal Wood after 26 years of service. Reggie enjoyed hunting, horseback riding, gardening, raising chickens and his greatest love was his grandchildren. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Warrenton. Survivors include his wife, Sherryle R. Hinton; sons, Jeff Hinton (Donna) of Gordon, GA, Jay Hinton (Christy) of Sandersville, GA, and their mother, Ann Smith of Warrenton, GA, Ben Hinton (Desiree) of Warrenton, GA, step sons, Randy Tucker (Lori) of Evans, GA, Rod Tucker (Anne) of Appling, GA, and Stacy Tucker (Leslie); step daughter, Meg Williams (Steven) of Avera, GA; sisters, Gerry H. Smallwood (Jim) of Griffin, GA, Ellen H. Sorrentino of Greensboro, GA, and Zephie H. Banks of Thomson, GA; and 14 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, October 29, 2018 at First Baptist Church, Warrenton with Rev. Brandon Furr officiating. Interment will follow at Little Briar Creek Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 until 6 p.m. Sunday, October 28, 2018 at the funeral home.
