Mary Katherine Dyson

Mrs. Mary Katherine Dyson, more affectionately known as “hun”, “mama”, “KK”, and “MK” of  Doster Rd., Washington, Ga. entered into rest on Sunday, February 18, 2018 at University  Hospital, Augusta. She was 37 years old.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, February 21, 2018  at 2 p.m. at Beggs Funeral Home, THOMSON. The family will receive friends on Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. until the hour of the service at the funeral home.

Mary Katherine was born in Augusta and grew up in Washington. She was a graduate of the WWCHS Class of 1998. On June 16, 2001, she and Jason were married and shortly afterwards, she was employed by Anthony Wood Products. Following the birth of  her daughters, Maci and then, Lacey, she became a stay at home mom . Mary Katherine loved traveling with her family to Jekyll Island,  spending time with family and friends, and supported her daughters to the fullest in all their endeavors. A few years ago, she returned to work at Anthony Wood Products and continued to work there after through her illness. She was a devoted friend  and always loved life to the fullest.  Her father, Thomas “Tommy” Beard, maternal grandfathers, Marvin Thomas Burgess and Ray Clement, and paternal grandparents, Heidt and Mary Haney Beard, all preceded her in death.

She will be greatly missed by her husband, Jason E. Dyson; daughters, Maci Elizabeth Dyson, and Lacey Katherine Dyson;  mother, Betty Burgess Beard; and brother; Tom Beard and grandmother, Mary Jane Clement; and her dog, Bingo.
