Mary Wade Bell
Thomson, GA. - Mrs. Mary Wade Bell, 84, entered into rest January 8, 2018 at her residence.
Mrs. Bell was born in Salem, Alabama, the daughter of the late Lee Smith Trotter and the late Edna Moncrief Trotter. She was a long time resident of Thomson. She along with her late husband of 50 years, Rev. Robert Wade served several churches in Alabama and Georgia as well as the Kilpatrick Mission, Manna, and Disaster Relief. Mrs. Bell was retired as secretary of Warrenton First United Methodist Church and was a member of Raysville Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Ron Bell; sons, Dr. Steve Wade (Debra) of Kathleen, GA, John Wade (Dianne) of Maineville, OH, and Mike Wade (Stephanie) of Lafayette, GA; brothers, Lee Trotter of Gadsden, AL and Lester Trotter of Dothan, AL; 7 grandchildren, JohnThad, John Robert, Craig, Kaylyn, Joshua, and Mary Kathryn; 2 great grandchildren, Mary Madison, and Harrison; and step sons, Richard Bell (Bonnie) of Venice, FL and Russell Bell of Dearborn, MI.
Funeral services will be held at 11 o’clock a.m., Friday, January 12, 2018 in the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jon Richards officiating. Interment will follow in the Westview Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 10 until 11 a.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
