Mrs. Lucille McGahee Davis

Warrenton, GA- Mrs. Lucille McGahee Davis, 82, of Gibson Hwy. Warrenton, GA entered into rest April 25, 2018 at University Hospital, Augusta.

Mrs. Davis was a lifelong resident of Warren County, GA and the daughter of the late Earl McGahee and the late Mary Will McNair McGahee. She was a 1954 graduate of Warrenton High School, retired from Thomson Company with 36 years of service and retired from McDuffie Regional Hospital with 19 years of service. Mrs. Davis was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and she was a member of the Wrens Church of God. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Davis was predeceased by a son, Dewayne Davis and sister, Ellie McGahee.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 63 years, Bobby Davis; son, Jeff Davis of Warrenton, GA, Steve Davis (Jennifer) of Wrens, GA; sisters, Mary McGahee of Stapleton, GA, Eva Ware McGahee of Murrayville, GA, and Cornelia Wells of Martinez, GA; grandchildren, Serena Zimmerman (John), Joshua Davis (Stacy), Brooklyn Davis, Kaitlyn Hampton Davis, Kristian Kitchens, Destiny Kitchens and great grandchildren, Paisley Neal, Presley Anne Zimmerman and Fynnley Davis; and caregiver, Lillie Hanson.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, April 27, 2018 at the Wrens Church of God with Revs. Jason Burton, Jacky Downs and Tommy Harwell officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff at University Hospital 7th Floor Palliative Unit and 5th Floor Neurology Intensive Care Unit.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
