Mrs. Elizabeth Louise Ledbetter Walker, 71 of Riverside Dr., Washington entered into rest on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at Wills Memorial Hospital, Washington.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at 2p.m. at Clark’s Station Baptist Church, Tignall. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at 12:30 on Thursday until the hour of the funeral at the church. Serving as pallbearers will be Buddy Vandiver, Karl Hughey, David Reville, Andy Jackson, Jesse Moore, and Mike Jackson. Active and retired Georgia State Patrolmen will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Mrs. Walker, daughter of the late Grady and Virginia Chastain Ledbetter, was a lifelong resident of Wilkes County, and 1964 graduate of Washington High School. Employed at both Wills Memorial and Elbert Memorial Hospital as an operating room technician, she retired in 1997. Also, she was a member of Clark’s Station Baptist Church and recently she and her husband, Jerry, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry H. Walker; son, John Walker of Washington; daughter, Jennifer Jackson and husband, Casey of Tignall; sisters, Linda Stapleton, Mary Virginia Hopkins, and Gradee Ledbetter; grandchildren, Aubrye Witcher, Braden Walker, Kaven Walker, Madeline Jackson and Ella Jackson.
