James A. Meredith

James “Jim” Meredith, 75, husband of Patricia (Patty) Meredith, resident of Savannah Lakes Village, 406 Compass Point, McCormick SC, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday July 1, 2018  with family at his side.

Born in New York, NY, he was the son of the late James and Blodwynne Bastone Meredith.  Jim was a star high school athlete who graduated from the University of Vermont on a Football Scholarship. He joined the Army and served his country during the Vietnam War. Afterwards, he spent most of his career in sales management and was successful in three different sales careers. He was an avid golfer and a dog lover.

He is also survived by his brother, Kenneth Meredith, and wife Sonia, of Dover New Jersey;  his daughter, Tami Traina, and husband Chris Traina and grandson Zachery Traina of Hillsdale, New Jersey; his daughter, Kimberly Trella and granddaughters Jessica and Abigail Rosensweig; his sister-in law, Jane and her husband Brod Rivers of Zephyrhills, Florida.

Jim requested that no memorial or other services be held, but there will be a memorial page from his family, friends and golfing companions through Beggs Funeral Home of Lincolnton, Georgia. www.beggsfuneralhome.com.
