John Collier “Jackie” Bazal passed away on Friday August 4, 2017 at his home surrounded by family. He was born February 19, 1951 in Racine, Wisconsin to Margaret Scott Wilde and John A. Bazal. He grew up in Norwood with his Aunt Josephine Scott and his maternal grandparents. He was a 1969 graduate of Warren County High School. After graduating, he became a copy machine technician and sales representative in Thomson until his retirement. Jackie loved life and helping others. This was evident in his serving on the Warren County Volunteer Fire Department and being a First Responder for Warren County. He loved to hunt and fish and spent many hours arrowhead hunting. In his later years he loved gardening, his pets and especially loving on his grandchildren.
He leaves behind his wife Susan Bazal; son John Bazal Jr; step-daughters Laurie (Robert) Jackson; Alison (Mike) Harlow; step-son James LeBlanc and step-daughter-in-law Erin LeBlanc. His brothers: Rick (Jean); Randy (Jan); Donny (Kaye); sisters Kathy Holcomb (Arnold); Donna Bazal Stone; and Cathy Bazal. His grandchildren Cole LeBlanc, Cheyenne Jackson, Seth Jackson, Riley Harlow, Aria Harlow and Emmaline Harlow. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family.
The celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, August 12 at 11:00 a.m. at Beggs Funeral Home with Rev. Don Bazal and Rev. John Jenkins officiating.
