Fred R. Vergeer
Thomson, GA. - Mr. Frederick R. “Fred” Vergeer, 80, of Cedar Rock Rd., entered into rest March 2, 2018 at his residence.
Mr. Vergeer was born in Holland, Michigan to the late Teunis Vergeer and the late Frouwina Vergeer. He served in the U. S. Navy, retired from the U. S. Department of Agriculture and was also retired as McDuffie County Magistrate Judge with over 27 years of service. Mr. Vergeer was a member of Mesena United Methodist Church and the Thomson Moose Lodge.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Pauline Porter Vergeer; daughter, Kim Moye (Chuck); niece, Sara Hunter (Martin); nephew, Vitis Vergeer (Bonnie); and grandchildren, Savanna Ash Barnett and Porter Case Barnett.
Funeral services will be held at 2p.m., Sunday, March 4, 2018 in the chapel of Beggs Funeral Home with Rev. Raymond Camp officiating. Interment will follow at Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m., Sunday prior to the service.
