Mr. Earl Clarence Partridge, 87 of Augusta Hwy. entered into rest on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at his residence.
Mr. Partridge, son of the late William Sidney and Mary Emma Freeland Partridge was a lifelong resident of Lincoln County. In 1948, he graduated from Lincolnton High School and was awarded with a $20 gold piece for perfect attendance during the eleven years he attended. He retired from the GA DOT surveying crew, and following retirement had operated Pot’s BBQ. Also, he was a member of New Hope Baptist Church where he had served as a Deacon and was also an avid Lincoln County Red Devil football fan. For many years, his voice could often be heard on any video audio of the games that were taped as his seat was right on the 50 yard line near the press box.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Anderson Partridge; sisters, Dot Partridge and Audrey Fleming; brothers, Wallace Partridge, W.S. Partridge, Jr., and Harry Partridge.
Survivors include his daughter, Pamela P. Jordan and husband Steven; grand-daughter, Shana Smith and husband Michael; great- grandchildren, Marleigh Nicole Smith, McKinley Louise Smith and Mikayla Smith.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at 3pm at New Hope Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with military honors.
