Darrell Blackmon

Mr. Darrell Gregory Blackmon, 54, of Lumber Street, Lincolnton, GA entered into rest December 18, 2019 at University Hospital.

“Grieve not….nor speak of me with tears, but laugh and talk of me as though I were beside you. I loved you so… twas Heaven is here with you.

 Darrell Blackmon was born on August 19, 1965 in Augusta, GA to Glenda Dean Blackmon. He accepted Christ at an early age. Darrell received his education from Lincoln County High School. He was employed at Beggs Funeral Home until his health began to fail him.

On Wednesday, December 18, 2019 our beloved Darrell bid farewell to this world as he transitioned to his new home. Darrell will forever have a special place in our hearts and he will be remembered by all of those who knew him well.

He leaves to cherish his memories: mother, Glenda Dean Blackmon of Lincolnton; one brother, Willis (Shauntale) Elder; one sister, Melissa Gracey Blackmon; four nieces, Lashauna (Tony) Adams, Shayna Blackmon, Datamkia Walton and Perkita Walton; two nephews, Darrien Elder and LeBron Elder; very special friends, Marion Blanchard of Thomson, GA and Keith Beggs and Family of Thomson, GA; a host of great nieces and nephews and other family members.

The homegoing service for Darrell will be held at 1p.m., Monday at New Tabernacle Baptist Church with Pastor Matthew Harden officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4 until 6 p.m. Sunday, December 22, 2019 at Beggs Funeral Home in Lincolnton, GA.
