Betty Jean Jones
Thomson, GA. - Mrs. Betty Jean Jones, 78, of Elizabeth Drive entered into rest March 3, 2018 at her residence.
Mrs. Jones lived in McDuffie County, Georgia most of her life and was the daughter of the late Mike and Louise Hinton. She was a faithful and devoted homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother. Mrs. Jones was a member of White Oak United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by a son, David Keith Jones; and grandchildren, Eric Michael Jones and Matthew Thomas Jones.
Survivors include her beloved husband of 61 years, George Thomas “G.T. “ Jones, Sr.; son, Tommy Jones (Connie) all of Thomson, GA; and sister, Joyce Lokey of Dearing, GA.
Memorial services will be held at 2p.m., Monday, March 5, 2018 in the chapel of Beggs Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Stokes officiating. Interment will follow at Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m., Monday prior to the service.
