Betty Joyce Carr
Thomson, GA – Mrs. Betty Joyce Carr, 82, of Beulah Lane, Thomson, GA entered into rest on September 2, 2019.
Mrs. Carr was born in Shawmut, Alabama, the daughter of the late A.L. Golden and the late Annie May Golden. She was a secretary/bookkeeper and retired from Swift Mill in Columbus, GA. Mrs. Carr was a member of Marshall Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughters, Lynn Carr of Oxford, England and Lisa Bolton (Madison) of Thomson, GA; brother, Billy Joe Golden (Beth) of Pell City, Al; sister, Mavis Hill of Waverly Hall, GA; grandchildren, Matt Bolton (Julie), Glen Bolton, Ginny Davis (Greg), Rebekah Stephens (Harli), Jonathan Rosenburg, Joel Rosenburg, and Joy Rosenburg; great-grandchildren, Jax Davis, Erin Bolton, Gabby Brumfield (Josh), Micaiah Bolton, Kade Bolton, Blake Davis, Hunter Bolton, Natalie Bolton, Aiden Bolton, Chase Bolton, and Delaney Bolton; and great great-grandchild, Caleb Brumfield.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 7, 2019 at Resthaven Cemetery, 6415 Veterans Memorial Parkway, Lanett, Al with Rev. Mark Sellers and Rev. Doug Thompson officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday, September 6, 2019 at the funeral home.
