Mr. Arnold Worth Haynes, 87, of Jones Ferry Road, Elberton, husband of 61 years to the late Martha Josephine Ruff Haynes, passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2020, at Elbert Memorial Hospital. 
Mr. Haynes was born in Lincolnton on August 25, 1932, son of the late Willie Lee Haynes. He was a crane operator having retired from the construction industry and a U.S. Army Veteran having served during the Korean War. Mr. Haynes was a member of Falling Creek Baptist Church, Philomathea Masonic Lodge for 50 years, and was a Shriner. 
Survivors include his sons: Nathan and Aleda Haynes, Billy Haynes, and Jeff and Lisa Haynes, all of Elberton; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. 
Funeral services celebrating his life will be held on Sunday, January 5, at 2 o’clock at Falling Creek Baptist Church with the Revs. Dwight Morgan and Harold Walters officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Dennis Moss, Wayne Barger, Dennis Greenway, Dan Jones, Don Jones, and Greg Ruff honored as pallbearers.  
The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends at Berry Funeral Home from 5:00-7:00p.m. on Saturday, January 4. 
Mr. Haynes will be placed in the church at 1 o’clock on Sunday. 
Flowers are accepted and contributions may be made in his memory to the charity of one’s choice.
